If You’ve Got Questions. We’ve Got Answers!

Yes, our diagnostic fee for our local coverage area during normal business hours is $75.00 for service calls. We also offer emergency service after hours for a slightly higher fee. We also offer free in home estimates for replacement of your HVAC system.

Changing the filter every month is the best way to keep your system running at peak performance for many years. All the air in your home circulates and re-circulates through the same filter attached to your indoor unit. Designed to remove dust particles to keep the air you breathe clean, filters become clogged, causing your air conditioning and heating system to work less efficiently and costing you more to operate it. If left unchanged long enough, your HVAC system could fail completely. Causing very costly repairs.

Sometimes an HVAC System just needs to be repaired rather than completely replaced. You may need air conditioning repair services if there is leaking around the outside unit, the air coming into the house isn’t hot or cool enough, the unit is short-cycling or constantly turning on and off, using the HVAC unit is consistently resulting in higher-than-normal energy bills, or if there is excessive noise during start-up and operation.

We offer maintenance and service for all makes and models of central heating and air conditioning equipment. Units serviced include central air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and air quality systems such as whole-home humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air cleaners. Tune-up service is also available for, ductless mini-splits and boilers.

While there’s nothing you can do to guarantee your HVAC System will never need repair, there are ways to take better care of your unit. Changing out the air filters every month, making sure nothing is obstructing or interfering with the outside unit, and keeping all vents unblocked in well-used rooms will help your system run with less effort. However, the best way to keep your unit running at optimum efficiency year round is to have a maintenance performed on the unit twice each year. Clifton Heating & Cooling offers a Preventative Maintenance Program that includes these two visits as well as many other perks. Give us a call today for details.

Even if your HVAC unit is still working, depending on the type of system in your home today, you could recoup your investment in a new system in as little as three years. However, that doesn’t mean that your system absolutely has to be replaced. Furnaces, air conditioners, and other HVAC systems have made tremendous gains in efficiency over the past five years, so if you have an older system, it is worth taking a look at whether or not a repair makes the most sense.
